Crow Ring, with Gemstone Stick
This product is made to order in your size, so please allow 1-2 weeks production time.
PRODUCT INFO AND PROCESS: I hand-carved this crow head out of jeweler's wax, then made a mold so I can cast this in any metal you like. This listing is for a sterling silver crow, holding a gemstone "stick" in his beak. After finishing the casting and setting the stones, I oxidize the sterling so you can see the details in his face. If you go to my instagram page, you can see photos of the carving process from start to finish. https://instagram.com/p/zTjesdIg-M/?taken-by=j_topolski_jewelry
SIZE: The face measures about 1" long, by about .5" tall from your finger. It is a solid ring, but not as heavy as you may imagine. I comfortably wear mine most days, though it can certainly catch on your sweaters! You can see it on the lower hand on the model shot.
MATERIALS: Sterling silver or bronze with various gemstones.
CUSTOMIZATION: Would you like a different stone or metal? Please send me a note and I will do my best to accommodate you!
STORY: There is much to be inspired by about crows, but I came up with this particular ring after reading this wonderful story: http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-31604026 A young girl befriended and fed her local crows and they began bringing her gifts such as small shiny objects and their favorite snacks. They even brought her half of a "best friends" necklace- I like to hope there is a crow out there wearing the other half.
